Pépites

Abstract landscapes, fields of colour and organic forms compose Idir Davaine’s pictorial universe. In Pépites, the artist brings together 69 paintings on paper, originally created in the format of 136 × 106 cm, freely reinterpreted and reproduced in risography by Studio Fidèle. Through layers, textures and chromatic variations, these works find a new expression within the scale of the book. In dialogue with the images, poet Laura Vazquez contributes her words to the publication, opening up a space of resonance between painting and poetry. Co-published by Ok Des Paris and Fidèle Éditions, the book explores the correspondences between painterly gesture, colour and language.
